Abstract
This research aims to analyze narratives about communication, hierarchy and life project
in a group of adults who experienced parenting during their teenage years. The type of research
was qualitative descriptive. Four adults were in the participation, who assumed responsibilities
that were not in line with their human development, showing the impact this role would bring
with them for the growth and personal development of each of them. The meanings to the
aspects already mentioned were achieved through unstructured or free interviews and based on
the following four categories: Meanings attributed to the affectations in the life project;
Meanings attributed to family communication; Meanings attributed to hierarchy within family
relationships and Meanings attributed to the causes that generated parentalization.
