Abstract
It is important to understand that hearing deficiency, hearing loss, or deafness consists of decreased or lost hearing. One of the main consequences of hearing loss is the limitation of the person’s ability to communicate with others, generating feelings of loneliness, self-esteem problems, isolation and frustratio. Aspects that have direct repercussions on education, since the opinion that the subjects have of their competence, is fundamental to obtain a good school performance, the experiences of success or failure (Rosenberg, 1995).
The present research aims to design a psycho-educational intervention program to strengthen self-esteem in children with hearing disabilities. This research was conducted under the analytical empirical paradigm, with a documentary approach. The results were the design of a protocol and the documentary review necessary for it.
