Abstract
The problems in mental health, which demand more and more psychological care services every day, has led to the concern to define the right skills, to ensure the quality of the training and the ethical and professional work of the psychologist in the clinical and/or health context, aimed at improving the patient’s physical and mental well-being. That is why, the present research aims to describe the competencies of the psychologist in the clinical and/or health context, in Ibero-America between 2010 and 2020, based on a documentary review, with a mixed approach, of descriptive scope, phenomenological design and empirical-analytical epistemological criteria. We found 42 publications, of which 15 were selected for the present study, according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. A registry matrix was used in Excel as a data collection technique. As a result, a total of 378 competencies proposed for psychologists were found in countries such as Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain and Mexico, of which 67% correspond to competencies defined for the clinical context and 33% to the health context. It should be noted that Colombia is one of the countries that most refers to competenciesfor psychologists in the clinical and/or health context in the last ten years, according to the results obtained.
