Abstract
Topology is a fundamental branch of mathematics used in the development of different areas such as mathematical analysis, differential equations, graph theory, etc., besides that, it is a useful tool in different contexts such as chemistry, physics, networks, etc., therefore, it is appropriate to include topology in the curricular guidelines of mathematics for basic and middle school, so that students can advance to higher education with a basic idea of some topological notions, the above is possible since this branch of mathematics is characterized by the intuitive way in which some of the concepts that support it can be described, which facilitates its approach in early stages of learning, however, if we compare the studies carried out in topology, there are few researches that have been related topology concepts with teaching in basic and middle school.
