"Al hablar de arquitectura y cultura en Colombia se definen de ante mano un territorio y un
espacio geográfico particular. Este territorio, el actual, no ha sido el mismo a lo largo del tiempo.
Los hechos políticos lo han modificado sucesivamente…" (Saldarriaga, 2016), las comunidades
habitan en lugares definidos geográfica y arquitectónicamente. Un territorio representa un modo
de habitar; este habitar es un hecho colectivo, y como hecho colectivo construye una cultura,
siendo la arquitectura la base sobre la cual se construyen y se desarrollan esos modos de habitar.
Abstract
"When speaking of architecture and culture in Colombia, a territory and a particular
geographic space are defined beforehand. This territory, the current one, has not been the same
over time. Political events have successively modified it..." (Saldarriaga, 2016), communities
inhabit geographically and architecturally defined places. A territory represents a way of
inhabiting; this inhabiting is a collective fact, and as a collective fact it builds a culture, being
architecture the basis on which these ways of inhabiting are built and developed.
