Abstract
The objective of this work was to analyze the documentation about psychosocial risk during the Aging of Grandparents in Geriatric Homes in Colombia. An interpretive paradigm was used, from the qualitative perspective in the framework of documentary research, likewise, it was based on the explanatory theories of psychosocial risk, theories about aging, explanatory theories of psychosocial risk in aging, and the situational diagnosis of grandparents in geriatric homes in Colombia emphasizing the Latin American countries for the selected information sources, seven categories were developed: psychological, social, and physiological aspects, family abandonment, restricted socialization, uprooting, and feelings of unproductiveness. The preponderance of the physiological and social aspects is concluded as determinants of the psychosocial risk during the aging of Grandparents in Nursing Homes, emerging forty-nine (49) codes for the generation of seven (7) networks related to retirement policies and measures and pension aimed at protecting the population against extreme poverty and with the expansion of access to health care, the severity of risks, in geriatric homes in Colombia, reflecting an emphasis on the indicators of feelings of unproductiveness and socialization restricted.
