Abstract
In this work, fuel consumption analysis of five cement mixer vehicles was performed, during the execution of an ecodriving program. The foregoing, in order to determine if the driving course taught to drivers to operate the vehicles in a better way and thus reducing fuel consumption. Each vehicle were prepared and equipped with a telemetry device and the fleet was operated capturing data from three sources: administrative, operational and telemetry. The data capture was carried out in two time stages and in the middle of them the drivers course was carried out. five (5) variables were determined to contribute directly to fuel consumption. The performance indicators [m3 / L] and [m3.km/L] were constructed, which are appropriate to the type of vehicle studied and a statistical treatment was made to the variables and indicators. The performance indicators, were compared both before and after the course and it was found from statistics that in the majority of vehicles the course did not have a favorable impact towards reducing fuel consumption. A multivariate regression analysis was carried out in order to establish the positive or negative influence of the variables on the fuel consumption indicator [L] and it was found that distance [km], load [m3] and number of trips increase the fuel consumption, and that the age variable decreased fuel consumption. The results made it possible to suggest strategies and recommendations aimed at reducing fuel consumption in the fleet.
