    It is identified as a problem the finding of bats bites in cattle on farms in the department of La Guajira, generating an economic imbalance for farmers in the region; thus, it was designed and built a prototype single-phase power generator powered by cattle traffic, in order to scare away the bats from the stables and thus reduce the loss they are causing by the above mentioned; In this way, we studied and analyzed all the factors to be taken into account such as the weight of the cattle, the energy needed to generate, the dimensions of the prototype and the strategic point for its installation, we made calculations of its performance, thus achieving a self-sustainable machine that minimizes the expenditure of electricity to power an ultrasound device to scare away the bats from the stables.

    This investigation evaluates the rate of copper corrosion in the city of Cartagena de Indias in the first year of exposure. The aim is to demonstrate the technical viability for the development and execution of the project. This work compiles and studies information on the present and future of passenger transportation in the large cities of Latin America and the world, thus justifying the design of a power unit that integrates mechanical transmission and alternating current electric motor with regenerative braking.

    This paper proposes the design and construction of a corn sheller with a capacity of 500 kg/day, for the smallholding "LOS LIRIOS" in the rural area of Pore Casanare. The shelling machine will reduce the time required for the shelling process, taking into account that currently this is done manually and/or also with shelling equipment lease, increasing production cost. It will have a shelling mechanism that removes or detaches the grains from the cob, which is powered by an electric or thermal motor. A mechanical power transmission system, a structure that supports the different components, a feeding hopper, a sieve that separates the grains from the cobs and the motor control elements.

    This project has as objective; design a photovoltaic electricity generation system for the Amaichon community in the corregimiento of Mayapo, Manaure Municipality. Electricity services are essential for the integral development of a population and its inhabitants. The sun is a source of energy that contributes to science to find sustainable alternatives for vulnerable peoples. The study methodology had a quantitative approach, a design proposal for a photovoltaic power generation system was presented, establishing its cost benefit. The results obtained show that the implementation of this photovoltaic electricity generation system will benefit the 19 inhabitants who live in 4 houses and do not have energy for their home. It is recommended that the Amaichon community continue with the management of the project in the entities of the Colombian government or organizations that can collaborate in its implementation for the benefit of the population. Also, it is recommended to use not only solar energy, but also wind power generation.

    In the municipality of Maicao, department of La Guajira, there is a company in charge of the recycling process, called Recoveradora la Mejor JB S.A.S. Thanks to the compaction machines that this company has, this activity is carried out in a more simplified way and with greater precision, the Machines play an important role in the development of any company, in order to produce high-quality and competitive products in the market, they depend on the operation of the machines and the personnel who work there. These equipment that carry out the recycling process do not have adequate maintenance or monitoring of the operation of the equipment, therefore, it is proposed to carry out and structure a preventive maintenance plan to guarantee the operation of the machines within the necessary capacity. This maintenance aims to reduce downtime and excessive depreciation of a company's properties as much as possible, by keeping equipment and facilities in optimal operating conditions. The application of this type of maintenance is planned, prepared and programmed, so its implementation makes it possible to discover and correct possible failures and their origin, instead of repairing them when they have already occurred.

    Diseño de un sistema de generación de energía eléctrica a partir de fuentes de energías renovables para cubrir las necesidades del internado rural camino verde del municipio de Uribia la Guajira

    This degree work proposed the design of an energy generation system through renewable sources in the camino verde ethno-educational institution in the Municipality of Uribia, department of La Guajira. Said work started from the problems that arise in the educational establishment with the deficiency of electrical fluid and the need for a wind or photovoltaic energy generation system that guarantees the connectivity and operation of the equipment in the computer room and takes a educational process with dignity. To achieve the proposed objectives, a descriptive investigation was carried out. It was determined that the available resources of the irradiation area and average wind speed at 10 meters high are 4.5-5.0 kwh/m², and 4-10 m/s respectively, likewise the approximate energy demand in alternating current in the computer room is 8980 Wh/day. A 3150 𝑊𝑃 photovoltaic system is determined with one day of autonomy, six 12V 300 Ah batteries, seven 450 W solar panels, a 100 A-24 V solar regulator and a 5000 W-24 V inverter with an approximate cost of $30,128,149.00 Colombian pesos. In the same way, a wind system is obtained with a Bornay Wind 25.3 + 5000 W wind turbine, 12 BAE 24 V 1160 Ah stationary batteries of 2 V each, a 10 m tower, an MPPT Wind + 24 vdc regulator and a maximum intensity of 125 Amp. , a 24 Vdc/110 Vca-5000 W pure wave inverter, accessory and additional items with an approximate cost of $115,380,840.00. The benefit is established directly for 421 students who use the computer room.

    Diseño de un circuito con arduino para el monitoreo del estado de temperatura, presión, energía y ubicación de las torres de luz nocturna en Mecánicos asociados S.A.S.

    This degree work proposed the design of a circuit with Arduino to monitor the state of temperature, pressure, energy and location of the night light towers in the company Mecánicossociados S.A.S in the contract for light equipment located in the mine pits. Cerrejón. To achieve the proposed objectives, a descriptive research was carried out. It was determined that the towers were out of operation due to disconnection of the battery due to theft, high temperature, pressure difference, and not having a positioning or geographic location system, the equipment was lost. The circuit design is integrated by an Arduino UNO, three input switches, a GPS module, a virtual terminal, three LED output indicators and a system with a motor. The programming and simulation of the circuit was carried out using Arduino IDE 2.1.0 and Proteus. The cost of the system was estimated at approximately $4,301,869.00 each. Finally, the approximate total cost including the 150 light towers was $645,280,350.00. This design provides an alternative for the immediate attention of the light towers that contribute to the interruptions of the different types of dispersed processes carried out in the mine. Likewise, the technician can identify the light tower in the shortest possible time. What failure and what variable.
