Abstract
With the elaboration of this project, it is proposed to carry out a study and diagnosis of the lighting of the Energy Testing and Calibration Laboratory of the Boyacá Energy Company (EBSA), in order to design a hybrid photovoltaic system to supply energy to the luminaires, leaving the electrical network as a backup and the remaining energy generated by the panels that is supplied to the company's network. In the study and design of lighting, measurements are made to make the diagnosis that allows showing how the current lighting is, this in order to analyze its improvement, complying with the requirements established by the standards and technical regulations. For the photovoltaic design, both the selection of components, such as: batteries, inverters, controllers and measurement equipment, as well as the different installation and generation calculations, in addition to the weight of the structure that supports the upper roof of the laboratory, are taken into account. Given that EBSA is interested in getting involved with the issue of renewable energies, seeking to align with national and international trends, it should be noted that photovoltaic systems contribute to the environment by reducing pollution. Through the elaboration of this project, it is intended to improve the lighting of the laboratory in order to avoid risks of power outages, since these affect the tests and calibrations that are provided as a service to private and internal customers of the Energy Company of Boyacá.
