El objetivo principal de este trabajo de investigación se enfoca en determinar la participación del sector azucarero colombiano y su impacto en la dinámica productiva de Colombia durante el periodo 2010 - 2020, al tiempo que se espera determinar el comportamiento que ha tenido la balanza comercial de este sector agroindustrial. El sector azucarero colombiano cuenta con unas condiciones geográficas y climatológicas adecuadas para su cultivo y cosecha continua durante todo el año, el principal departamento que se destaca por el cultivo de este producto es el departamento del Valle del Cauca con un área estimada de cultivo de 225.560 hectáreas sembradas. Estas características le brindan a este territorio una ventaja competitiva con relación a otras regiones del mundo (Asocaña, 2020).
Abstract
The main objective of this research work is to determine the participation of the Colombian sugar sector and its impact on the productive dynamics of Colombia during the 2010 period - 2020, while it is expected to determine the performance of the trade balance of this agroindustrial sector. The Colombian sugar sector has adequate geographical and climatic conditions for its cultivation and continuous harvesting throughout the year, the main department that stands out for the cultivation of this product is the department of Valle del Cauca with an estimated area of cultivation of 225,560 hectares planted. These characteristics give this territory a competitive advantage over other regions of the world.
