Abstract
The purpose of the development of this study was to know the acceptance of non-conventional optical aids for patients in Low Vision rehabilitation, for which a bibliographic review was carried out that in turn allows contextualizing the optometrist in the exercise of the profession. A total of 9 articles published in the last 10 years (2010-2020) were included, through which it was established that the most accepted non-conventional optical aid within low vision rehabilitation are magnifying glasses, followed by microscopes and telemicroscopes . Likewise, it should be mentioned that, for a patient with low vision problems, they need to carry out a rehabilitation plan and in this way, they can continue to carry out their daily tasks with their visual potential, taking into account elements such as reading and writing since they are the main objectives established within the rehabilitation management of patients with this condition.
