Abstract
The present research aims to know the family and contextual risk factors that influence three (3) adolescents, with psychoactive substance use problems (PAS), for which the pertinent conceptual and theoretical description was made addressing issues such as family, types of family, family dynamics, psychoactive substances, consumption, type of consumption and contextual factors. Likewise, to collect the information, a qualitative methodology was used with a hermeneutical design and a descriptive scope, using the semi-structured interview and the family genogram as instruments, which were analyzed and interpreted to conclude that the three (3). Participating adolescents have similarity in family formation due to the fact that they belong to extended families, conflictive relationships between parents are observed, where a distorted image of authority and emotional void is evidenced, likewise all these factors lead adolescents to fill these voids evading their realities with the consumption of psychoactive substances.
