Abstract
The present research aims to explore the motivation of workers in the production and marketing area of the company Alimentos SAS S.A.S. The type of research applied to this study is quantitative, in order to analyze the motivation that workers may have within the functional areas of an organization, for which an exploratory study will be carried out. Data collection was carried out through the Psychosocial Motivation Scale (MPS) and through a small semi-structured interview, where it provided us with information that the test does not investigate; The tests were carried out on a non-probabilistic sample, where three levels were examined (Execution, Expectation and Incentive) which are measured in the test and are reflected in the theory of expectations of Porter and Lawler; After carrying out the analysis, it was evidenced that the workers in the marketing area are more incentivized than the production area, because this area, according to the interviews, considers that they should have a greater personal motivation, that is, an incentive of verbal recognition to the At the time of carrying out their activities, it was also discovered that the workers do not have problems with the work environment, in the same way it is necessary to establish a closer relationship with their bosses, since this situation is not so evident due to the weak fraternal interaction between bosses and workers , this commented through the interviews carried out with the participants, in addition to the analysis with the theory.
