dc.description.abstractLa problemática en salud oral en Colombia es generada por factores como una higiene inadecuada, falta de adopción de hábitos de higiene oral, por consumo de azucares entre otros, los cuales afectan en especial a los niños; el objetivo de este estudio es el de determinar la efectividad de la estrategia educativa “Camaleón sonriente cuida tus dientes” en niños de 6 a 12 años de la Institución educativa Obando, para ello se empleó como método un estudio longitudinal a partir de una encuesta que mide el antes y el después de su aplicación; los resultados indicaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en variables de conocimiento sobre el uso del cepillo para eliminar restos de comida (p=0,00), variables de actitudes en donde el odontólogo es un actor en e (p=0,006); el estudio concluye que en más l proceso de enseñanza del 70 % de las variables no se presentaron mejoras significativas.spa
