Abstract
This work is a design of teaching material, aimed at eighth grade students, which aims to teach the Pythagorean Theorem through meaningful learning. Which, is taken as an initial element, background that allows to have a panorama for the construction of its structure, as well as the historical part of the theorem, works that have been carried out on this theorem and the way in which, the student can learn
significantly and not mechanically in geometry.
