dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this work is to determine the guidelines for the rehabilitation of AMD patients and update information on which processes and aspects are taken into account to improve the adaptation of the patient with AMD to their new condition and the potentialization of their visual remnant in the daily activities. AMD was found to be a progressive degenerative disorder that affects adults over 50 years of age, this disease is divided into two categories wet and dry and is classified into three stages: early, intermediate and late.eng
dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo tiene como finalidad determinar los lineamientos para la rehabilitación de los pacientes de DMRE y actualizar información sobre que procesos y aspectos son tenidos en cuenta para mejorar la adaptación del paciente con DMRE a su nueva condición y la potencialización de su remanente visual en las actividades cotidianas. Se encontró que la DMRE es un trastorno progresivo degenerativo que afecta a los adultos mayores de 50 años, esta enfermedad se divide en dos categorías húmeda y seca y se clasifica en tres etapas: temprana, intermedia y tardía. Dentro de la revisión bibliográfica que encontró que en la actualidad no existe cura para la DMRE; sin embargo, se ofrecen servicios de rehabilitación que brindan a los pacientes programas beneficiosos que ayudan en el mejoramiento visualspa
