Abstract
The present study aims to determine the meanings attributed to the personal quality of life, with respect to family, social, and work relationships in a visually impaired person. The study included the participation of a person who acquired his or her visual disability at some point in his or her life. The participant is part of the Rehabilitation Center for Blind Adults, whose mission is the Habilitation, Rehabilitation of people with visual impairment to facilitate their social inclusion and improve their quality of life. The meanings of the aspects already mentioned were obtained through an in-depth interview and analyzed through the following three categories: Meanings attributed to interpersonal and social relationships, meanings attributed to personal development, and meanings attributed to self-knowledge.
