Abstract
Oral manifestations in soft tissues were determined in drug-dependent patients and in rehabilitation of a specialized IPS from Armenia, Quindío. The clinical examination was performed on 09/28/2019, 10/1/2019 and 10/8/2019, with photographic records taken. The study was descriptive, observational, prospective, and longitudinal, with a convenient sample of 34 patients. The results showed that the macula was the most frequently observed lesion and this was located in the anatomical area of the lower lip, followed by the macula + excoriation that took second place, also on the lower lip and thirdly leukoplakia ( Potentially malignant lesion) on the hard palate. In conclusion, the patients reported consumption of psychoactive substances such as marijuana, bazooka, cocaine, heroin, and tobacco, with bazuco and marijuana being the most commonly consumed, the age group that predominated in the IPS was between 18 and 29 years old. of age and being the most prevalent male sex, a statistically significant relationship was found between the type of injury to the lower lip and the type of drug used with a value of p <0.05.
