Abstract
The research analyzes the effect of the MHA program designed under the parameters of
family mediation to guide the exercise of the marentality of a group of 15 mothers with
adolescent children in which the father has been murdered in the municipality of Zarzal,
Valle del Cauca. The exercise of marentality was evaluated before and after the application
of the MHA program through the instrument of parenting practices (CPC-P) Aguirre
(2011), parent version, the categories evaluated were: parent-child communication,
expression of the Affection and regulation of behavior
