Passion fruit, also known as passion fruit, is an exotic fruit native to South America, specifically the Amazon of Colombia. Its scientific name is Passiflora Edulis. This fruit has a refreshing sweet and sour flavor and is rich in potassium, phosphorus, magnesium and vitamins, making it a healthy choice for consumers. The passion fruit plant is a vine that can reach up to nine meters in height under favorable weather conditions. Its fruit matures in 50 to 70 days and contains around 300 seeds surrounded by a fibrous interior.
