Abstract
Temperature is one of the most used variables in the industry, temperature control since his beginins early in 1609 with the Drebbel´s Incubator to present, has been a physics magnitude that more pressence has in industry processes, since food industry to petrochemical industry. Temperature control can be done through many methods, each one of them depending of the final aplication, system answer and enviroment when it works.
Taking into account the diversity of methods used to control this variable and the applications that exist in the industry, the need arises to adopt measures and methods that allow each of the members to become familiar with the most used devices and controllers, in order to In this specific case, control strategies were used in a tank with a capacity of 50 liters of water, in which the necessary calculations were made to obtain the desired values and corroborate the functionality of the controller. In the same way, it was possible to integrate an HMI screen and by means of a PLC it was possible to carry out the necessary programming to be able to control the plant from it. Additionally, and emphasizing the importance of managing information and data in real time, a code was created to be able to obtain the process data in real time and verify them using graphs so that, from any point with internet access, to verify the behavior of the plant. It was possible to bring the temperature of the water contained in the tanks to the desired value through the HMI, it was possible to have the temperature information on the ThingSpeak platform with a data loading period of every 20 seconds.
