Abstract
The Gualí wetland, constitutes a space for research and also the shelter of hundreds of species, is an important source of water for the agricultural sector of municipalities with Funza, Tenjo and Mosquera, it is also used as a wastewater receiver for these municipalities, overcoming the resilient capacity of the system. Currently, the wetland is in a tragic situation due to problems caused by the advance of the paddocks on the water mirror, decreasing it, being a recipient of filling materials by owners of its surrounding areas, and contamination by dumping. domestic and industrial. It is essential to know the dynamics of water bodies, not only for their ecological importance and the environmental services they offer, but to carry out an analysis of their behavior and thus be able to determine the most influential factors in the problems presented by the environment. Taking this into account, modeling is used for the southern sector of the Gualí Wetland in two dimensions implementing the free-use Iber software, this software solves the shallow water averages equations in depth, these equations assume a hydrostatic pressure distribution and a distribution relatively uniform velocity at depth.
