Efecto De La Urbanización Sobre La Temperatura De La Superficie Terrestre En La Ciudad De Bogotá D.C., Durante Elperiodo 2002 – 2022
(Universidad Antonio Nariño) Ruiz Corchuelo, Guillermo Alberto; Carvajal Vanegas, Andrés Felipe
he fundamental purpose of this study was to examine the behavior of the Land Surface Temperature (LTS) in the urban and rural areas of the city of Bogotá during the period between 2002 and 2022. A survey was carried out comparison using descriptive statistics between these two coverages. The study area ranged from the urbanized region of Bogotá to its rural areas, including parts of the Bogotá savannah

The study analyzes the effect of climate change on the potential distribution of species (SDM) Enterolobium cyclocarpum (Jacq.) Griseb, Hymenaea courbaril L., and Bursera simaruba (L.) Sarg., characteristic of the tropical dry forest in Colombia, for the periods 2021-2040 and 2041-2060. Initially, the probability of SDM under current bioclimatic conditions and climate change scenarios in defined periods was identified. Changes in SDM in terms of habitat loss, gain, and persistence were determined using geographic information processing tools. Methodologically, GBIF occurrence records, 19 bioclimatic variables available in the WorldClim v.2.1 database, the global climate model MPI-ESM1-2-HR, maximum entropy algorithm - MaxEnt v.3.4.4, and ArcGIS 10.8 Spatial Analyst tools were used.

The present study focused on determining the statistical relationship of a 10-year time series between aerosol optical depth (AOD) extracted from the MODIS sensor - MCD19A2 version 6 - Terra and Aqua, implementing the MAIAC algorithm, with the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and enhanced vegetation index (EVI), at eight strategic points in the city of Bogotá: Usme, Tunjuelito, Bosa, Santa Fe, Candelaria Centro, Puente Aranda, Calle 80, and Usaquén.

The rise of remote sensing coupled with the improvement of the characteristics and increase of the spatial, spectral, radiometric and temporal resolutions of remote sensing, has exponentially boosted the use of this data distributed in pixels with levels digital or values that interpreted offer varied information of the reality that represent; increasingly widespread and freely accessible, these are available from constantly and over long periods of time, as a result of the accumulation of data throughout throughout the useful life of the sensors. Its importance lies largely in the contribution that in the fight against environmental degradation in the current context of change climate

(Universidad Antonio Nariño) Gutierrez Pacheco, Daniel Santiago; Celis Gil, Liliana Vanesa; Carvajal Vanegas, Andrés Felipe
Mass removal movements are a very frequent environmental problem in the town of Cáqueza, Cundinamarca, which on many occasions has prevented the passage from the central zone to the eastern zone of the country. That is why three mass removal movements are analyzed with aerial images (drones) in the township during the months of February, March, and April 2021, which was developed through a survey to identify the characteristics of the terrain with the presence of movement and subsequently monitor the generation of collapsed scarps, the evolution of the topographic profile and volumetric change. Two areas are identified as having unstable areas and areas of material concentration that may soon collapse

The objective of the present study was to analyze the behavior of evapotranspiration (ET) focusing on the development that deforestation has had over time in the Colombian Amazon using comparative statistics between transformed and nontransformed areas. The study area is comprised in the Colombian Amazon specifically in the areas of the Amazon foothills located in the north-west and the deforestation arc located in the departments of Caquetá, Putumayo, Guaviare, Cauca and Nariño. ET orbital data of the product MOD16 from the period 2001-2018, layers of land surface coverings for the years 2002, 2007, 2014 and 2016 obtained from the Amazon Institute of scientific research SINCHI were used. Regarding the consequences of deforestation, the analyzes indicated that the ET of deforested areas increases with respect to conserved areas. The results obtained showed a higher behavior in the ET in greater in transformed or deforested areas than in the conserved areas, that is, the pixels with information from the deforested areas had a positive relationship against the pixels in the conserved areas.

The variability of precipitation in the Meta department is complex, not only due to the different subregions that compose it and the environmental climatic conditions that influence it, but also because its study is determined by the availability of traditional rainfall information, which for this case is scarce considering the area and distribution in a way that does not represent the reality of the behavior of the variable. The present investigation tries to evaluate the effectiveness of the satellite images of the GPM sensor to represent the precipitation in the department of Meta for the period 2014-2018, taking into account the observed data (meteorological stations) and the estimated ones (data from the IMERG V06 product) , and thus be able to validate the suitability of the remote sensor to estimate precipitation, taking into account performance measures such as the correlation coefficient, the determination coefficient and the covariance. The validation showed that the images correctly represent the precipitation behavior, but it cannot adequately represent extreme precipitation events. For the dry months the correlations were higher than for the rainier months, while the correlations of the plateau/high plain and foothills/piedmont were better than those of the Amazon plain, always showing how satellite images underestimated actual precipitation. In general, the correlation for the stations was 0,82, which is considered a good correlation.
