Abstract
The generation of both liquid and solid waste from different industries is a current problem that directly affects the environment. That is why anaerobic digestion (AD) is important, since the organic load of pollutants is reduced and biogas is produced, which has concentrations of CO2, H2S and mainly CH4 which can be used as biofuel. The capacity that a substrate has under ideal conditions to produce biomethane is called biochemical methane potential (BMP), for which this work focuses on the construction of an anaerobic bioreactor on a laboratory scale to determine the potential of biomethane. of different residues from the volumetric method by syringe for the measurement of the biogas produced by the digestion of the substrate in a set retention time. For the construction of the device, two prototypes were made, and their efficiency was evaluated to perform the correct detection of gaseous displacement. The device is novel because it only has two modules, its materials are accessible and this allows the reactor to be more easily accessible for laboratories with different purchasing power, unlike the AMPTS II ® (which is the commercial device for the determination of biomethane potential) which has three modules and greater difficulties for access. BMP will be eliminated from plant residues from household sources that were 124 NmLCH4/gSV and microalgae produced by photobioreactors, giving a value of 228 NmLCH4/gSV, values that are close to those found by other studies and the theoretical values calculated stoichiometrically, corroborating in this way the correct functioning of the proposed prototype
