Abstract
The objective of this work was to analyze the relationship between the level of financial leverage with the capital structure and indicators of solvency and profitability of the E.S.E Hospital San Rafael Level II, San Juan del Cesar, periods 2017-2019.
Based on the financial analysis of the hospital during the 2017-2019 periods, to know its financial structure, the indebtedness and leverage indicators were subsequently analyzed. Additionally, and to achieve a broader vision of the problem, the behavior of the capital structure and budget and financial indicators of the ESE Hospital San Rafael Level II, in the city of San Juan del Cesar, was also analyzed during the periods 2017- 2019. Likewise, the analysis of the cost of capital, Generation of value and level of financial leverage was carried out. Finally, the relationships between the capital structure, the level of leverage, solvency and profitability were identified for each of the years under study.
The above resulted in the entity having liquidity problems in the 2018 period, however, it is financed with own resources, a situation that has not been favorable for the years of study since it is evident that it would be much more beneficial if it greater third-party resources. For this reason, it is established that in order to positively impact the financial indicators of the entity, it must handle debts in the financing of its investments.
