Abstract
The life cycle analysis is proposed as an instrument for determining the viability of a technology, showing quantitatively the environmental impacts caused in different aspects of the production and operation of a product or service. Consequently, it allows to have an overview of the environmental impact generated by this technology, it also allows to evaluate the feasibility of the construction of these systems given that if the impacts for their construction are more than the economic-environmental benefits that come to provide in their life useful would not make a sense elaborating these. Likewise, it is necessary to look at the feasibility for the implementation of this type of technology in industries or homes in the Colombian territory and if this would have a positive or negative impact in terms of mitigation and use of renewable energies at different scales.
