Abstract
In this work we present the process and results of the psychosocial intervention carried out
in the town of Ciudad Bolívar in Bogotá (Colombia). The intervention carried out aimed to
build psychosocial skills in children and youth in order to prevent the initiation of gangs
and the consumption of psychoactive substances from the emerging psychosocial model.
This was accomplished with the support of the I Love Life of the Young Men's Christian
Association NGO. To analyze this problem, we resorted to a qualitative approach, using participatory action research (PAR) as a transversal methodological axis to carry out the evaluation, diagnosis and construction of a proposal for psychosocial intervention.
