Abstract
The grace retirement pension is a benefit, created by law 114 of 1913, began as a free prerogative that the Nation recognized to a certain group of teachers in the public sector, primary education teachers of regional or local character; group that later, that the laws of 116 of 1928 and law 37 of 1933 were issued, was extended to the employees and teachers of the normal schools, to the inspectors of public instruction and to the teachers of secondary education of the same order and it is said which constitutes a free privilege because the nation makes payment without the teacher having worked for it. Article 1 of Law 114 mentioned is as follows: "Official primary school teachers who have served in the teaching profession for a term of not less than twenty years are entitled to a lifetime retirement pension, in accordance with the provisions of this law." Number 3 of article 4 ib. He points out that in order to enjoy the grace of the pension, the interested party must, among other things, prove “that he has not received nor is he currently receiving another pension or reward of a national nature.
