Abstract
The main purpose of the conducted study was to analyze the relationship between emotional
intelligence and bullying in high school students at the Colombia Mía De Maicao Institute in La
Guajira. The primary theoretical framework was based on Arsenio and Lemerise's integrated
model of emotional and cognitive processes (2001, 2004), which posits that bullying arises from
the interaction of various emotional and cognitive factors. Methodologically, a non-experimental
quantitative study with a descriptive-correlational cross-sectional design was employed. The
Bullying Identification Instrument and the TMMS24 were administered to a sample of 63
