Abstract
This research delves into the complexity of educational inclusion and the resource constraints faced by students with disabilities and exceptional talent, thus raising the fundamental question of how the processes of acceptance of diversity are structured in primary school students at the Tomás Ignacio Esquivel branch of the Educational Institution Nuestra Señora de Chiquinquirá, therefore, the main objective of this study is to know in detail the aforementioned processes of attention to diversity in this specific context. The methodology adopted is structured on the characterisation of inclusion processes, the identification of barriers at individual and social levels, and the evaluation of benefits through qualitative approaches. The results show significant regulatory non-compliance, lack of interinstitutional and family support, and notorious limitations in available educational resources. In the conclusions, the urgency of ongoing teacher training, the imperative need to foster respect and equity in the educational community, along with the adaptation of curricula and pedagogical methods are highlighted. It is suggested to evaluate the ratio of students per classroom, to promote multidisciplinary teams and to establish effective communication channels with families.
