Abstract
Currently more than 55% of the vehicle fleet in Bogotá are motorcyclists with 480,000
motorcycles registered in 2018, being the first road actor to have injuries and the second to have
died in traffic accidents in relation to other road actors, surpassing in incidents
pedestrians who are the first road actor to have deaths, this according to figures from the Ministry of
Transport presented in 2019, the main cause is lack of control of the motorcycle,
ignorance of traffic rules, recklessness, lack of culture on the part of all actors
roads, poor condition of the road network and excessive speed
