Abstract
Adherence to treatment is defined as compliance with it and the consequences of non-compliance that can be summarized in an empowerment of the patient's quality of life to a treatment is an essential condition for its success, this is based on an analytical investigation in which and through statistical studies, a cause-effect response is reached. Quantitative research is a study where the data is analyzed, it is descriptive and then oriented to a result. The main objective was to analyze adherence to orthopedic treatment in pediatric dentistry in the children's clinic of the Antonio Nariño University. This project arises from a problem that arises since, over time, patients stop attending their consultation without knowing many times the reason for their decline, leaving their child without an indicated treatment.
According to what was observed in the children's clinic of the Antonio Nariño University, it is the lack of commitment or perhaps interest on the part of the parents and this project is based on finding the consequences of said assumptions and presenting some solutions since one One of the objectives is to identify causes of abandonment of maxillary orthopedic treatment in the children's clinic of the Antonio Nariño University in 2018, taking into account that the population included will be children aged 4 to 12 who have or have had orthopedic treatment.
