Abstract
The objective of this work was to structure a proposal to strengthen the knowledge of the content which some teachers of preschool and basic primary education possess in an official educational institution in Soacha. A diagnosis was made to identify the teachers´ strengths and difficulties, applying questionnaires of the “Saber” tests of third and fifth grades, presented by the students in 2015. The findings show some difficulties of the teachers with the solution of situations, especially referring to the random and metric spatial components. To address these identified problems in the teachers, a training proposal was developed, initially focused on contents of random thought, which consists of five modules structured in four moments called: Remember, Contextualize, Strengthen and Reflect. This learning material was subjected to expert judgment based on which some adjustments were made. Due to the difficulties generated by the Covid-19 pandemic it was not possible to implement it, so this is the main recommendation.
