Abstract
Image, file and radiological communications systems (PACS) are of vital importance in telemedicine, because they allow the storage of medical information, to a greater extent DICOM-type images; a large part of the PACS on the market use private databases, which is why their implementation costs are high. The health institutions have a PACS system, taking into account this the present degree work seeks to implement a website with the function of a PACS for educational use, due to the fact that the knowledge acquired in a theoretical way by the students improved. and give them an academic foundation regarding the use of this type of system, which may be useful in their future work environment. The implemented PACS uses three fundamental components: i) MySQL database, ii) Python programming language (pynetDicom) and iii) HTML. Information collection instruments (survey) were used to evaluate the software, these were filled out by nine volunteers. To analyze the results, the mean opinion score values, standard deviation and coefficient of variation were obtained from the areas to be evaluated; Through the values obtained, it was established that the areas related to the visualization of reports and images of the DICOM type presented the lowest results, and there is a great dispersion in most areas to be evaluated, which may be due to the different approaches of The volunteers.
