Abstract
Introduction: Complications during instrumentation techniques in duct treatments are defined as those unfortunate events that happen during endodontic therapy.
Objective: To create a digital application as a resource to support complications during instrumentation techniques in duct treatment.
Materials and methods: A questionnaire was conducted which evaluated the level of knowledge on complications during the instrumentation techniques in a duct treatment and its performance capacity to 120 students of the dental clinic of the Antonio University Nariño, has been accompanied by institutional informed consent. A protocol for managing complications was designed. To develop the application, the Android Studio development IDE was used, which uses a Java programming language and an XML layout language.
Results: It was evident that 54% of the students had a high level of knowledge and 61.7% do not feel able to act in the face of a complication, this shows that there is a large percentage that are not
considered in full capacity to act in the face of complications. Digital application was created as a resource to support complications during instrumentation techniques in duct treatments for Android devices.
Conclusions: A digital application was created as a resource to support complications during instrumentation techniques in duct treatment, the design is aimed at devices with Android operating system and will be available for download in the Google Play Store.
