Abstract
This work is based on the proposal of plant distribution and strategies for the implementation of the 5S's methodology in the company Carpas y Tapizados Caribe, is located in the city of Duitama, dedicated to the manufacture and commercialization of all kinds of electro sealed tents designed for: trolley mules, trucks, vans, vans, dumps and parasols, with different designs and sizes. In this way we want to achieve the 5s methodology and obtain a better distribution of all machines to improve times, distances and productivity in the company.
For this reason, 3 alternatives are proposed in which each was performed its corresponding analysis that are represented in the different diagrams and tables made throughout the project. Likewise, the economic part for the chosen proposal was taken into account, the distances that are traveled in each one and it is concluded that, the less routes are made, the more time will be obtained for the manufacture of the tents achieving a reduction in money and time, achieving a better distribution proposal in the plant.
