Abstract
Oral health has a great influence on the general health of an older adult, since within this stage they are more susceptible to developing a number of alterations that can prevent the development of activities within daily life. The general condition of the elderly today takes on great importance worldwide, becoming a public health problem. Bibliometric indicators were used for the analysis of publications, in the Scopus database, on the quality of life related to oral health of the elderly, in the period between 2015 and 2020. A bibliometric review was carried out on publications in the Scopus database, on the Web since 2015 to date, taking the 112 resulting articles and evaluating the bibliometric indicators from which the data were extracted from the articles: name of the first author, institution and country of origin, number of
authors, name and impact factor of the journal, year of publication, number of citations, average of citations of each article since its publication, and keywords. Descriptive statistics were performed in order to obtain averages and frequencies. Identifying that the growth of publications is gradual and increasing. Likewise, in terms of country, Japan is the most productive on the subject, along with its institutions, in the classification of the first 10 authors, the first 7 were identified with 3 publications each, heading the list the author Ayai, Yasumichi, in the author collaboration indicators, it was evident that most of the publications are produced by different authors, as a result of the commitment of the different institutions to collaborate
