Abstract
This research aims to analyze the symptoms of depression associated with physiological pathologies such as arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus in the adult population who enter the IPS BIOSALUD in the city of Duitama for treatment, in order to identify the needs for future mental health care plans, strengthening comprehensive service provision for the patient.
The theoretical approach that is developed is quantitative descriptive non-experimental within the line of research according to clinical and health psychology.
The instrument used for this study was the mh Grap survey (only the section referring to depressive disorder), which provides three parameters that determine the symptoms related to depression disorder, in this study it was applied to 50 patients with a previous diagnosis of arterial hypertension and / or diabetes mellitus to identify the risk range associated with the mental disorder. In order to answer the problem question: What are the symptoms of depression associated with physiological pathologies such as hypertension and diabetes in the adult population at IPS BIOSALUD in the city of Duitama?
The results showed that patients with high blood pressure are more likely to develop depression compared to those diagnosed with diabetes mellitus.to highlight the high risk in patients with both diagnosed pathologies. However, the risk is higher in patients with both diagnosed pathologies.
