Abstract
The objective of this research is to evaluate the development in the areas of motor skills, hearing, language and social personal of 10 children with malnutrition from 0 to 5 years old who attend the IPSI outtajiapulee in the municipality of Uribia la guajira. The methodological approach for this project was quantitative of a descriptive type, the medical records were reviewed that allowed to know the sociodemographic information, the state of malnutrition and the application of the abbreviated development scale (EAD-3), the results show that 90% of the population presents difficulties in their gross and fine psychomotor advancement, which prevents them from carrying out activities of throwing the ball, running, jumping, inserting beads, tearing paper, etc., in the area of hearing language 70% have problems in obeying orders , make sentences and say their name and in the personal and social area, 40% do not recognize the parts of their body, do not interact with their environment and do not express emotions when achieving a goal.
