Abstract
The present research work was carried out at the Sonoma Company and its main objective is to design a proposal for physical space to optimize the available space in the storage warehouse, allowing its maximum use and the reduction of unproductive times.
To achieve this, it begins by analyzing the current situation of the storage warehouse, in order to establish improvement proposals for its storage system with respect to the physical distribution of the spaces available in the warehouse, the material handling systems and the internal mobilization vehicles, storage capacity and area requirements for warehouse zoning.
Finally, it was determined that the SLP and CORELAP methodologies are easy-to-use techniques that can be used to investigate the physical management of a winery. These techniques analyze the correlation between areas based on an assessment by degree of proximity between them, the Corelap technique is applied to determine the best location of the shelving in the storage area and for the design of distribution of the storage areas. uses SLP and with the help of the results of the relationship diagram, a block diagram was built in which the departments with the highest relationship between if were placed next to each other in physical form until the final distribution was found expressing them in the plan.
