Abstract
Rabbits are infected with a variety of parasites ranging from helminths, protozoa and
ectoparasites, parasitism is the main reason for veterinary consultations of these
now so popular pets, it is also a great concern for production, reproduction and
commercial performance.
Coccidiosis ranks number one among the parasites that infect domestic rabbits
(Oryctolagus cuniculus) is produced by different species of the genus Eimeria spp,
these microorganisms can cause infections of different severity in rabbits,
deteriorating their state of health and reaching the death.
In this work the parasitic frequency present in 32 samples of feces taken from pet
rabbits was evaluated, they were examined using the Dennis flotation technique, the
results were analyzed through a descriptive cross-sectional study.
