Abstract
The design of the program of efficient use and saving of water based on the administrative, cafeteria and laundry areas of the company Laboratories Synthesis affiliated to Laboratories Abbott. This program is of great importance since it allows to have knowledge about the water demand, use, consumption, inspection of equipment or devices, etc. In order to define a plan of action and continuous improvement to solve the problems of the water resource according to the processes that are carried out in the areas evaluated. Initially, the collection of general information about the organization was carried out, taking into account economic activity, manufactured products, number of employees, water inputs and outputs, etc. Then a general description was made of the areas evaluated, determining the use of water, time of operation or labor, number of people in charge in the area, classification of people according to gender (male or female), etc. Then a classification of the areas was made according to the presence of flow meters, in order to perform the measurement and flow capacity to determine the demand or water consumption. It is important to note that in addition to the aforementioned activities, an inspection of all the hydrosanitary devices or machines used in the processes of the evaluated areas was also carried out to establish possible leaks or water losses. Finally, the design of the program for the efficient use and saving of water to the areas evaluated was carried out through a model that contains the information, action plans and improvement taking into account activities to be carried out, objective, goals, indicators, among others according to resolution 1257 of 2018; which defines the guidelines and content of the program.
