Abstract
This research proposal is related to music, with the aim of carrying out a bibliographic review of music as a tool for strengthening cognitive processes in adolescent students, which will be complemented by aspects related to the problem, intervention approaches and benefits/effectiveness offered by this methodological tool. For its execution, a quantitative methodology is used with a documentary analysis design, which aims at the description of documents in a unified way to facilitate their consultation and recovery (Dulzaides and Molina, 2004), and keeping in mind databases such as Scielo, Redalyc, and ProQuest for the selection of documents. Regarding the results, it is contemplated that 37% of the research corresponds to a socio-cultural psychological theory perspective, followed by 36% by the constructivist perspective, 19% by efficiency in the learning process, followed by 14% information processing, motivation and language, and that 66% of the studies selected correspond to a qualitative method review. Concluding in such a way that musical learning does influence the development of both the child and the adolescent, since, to the first extent, one always works with difficulties along the educational transit through which the student is studying and, second, one continues to work with the three axes analyzed: motor, language and affective.
