Abstract
The present work aims to analyze emotional and behavioral problems in school children according to a documentary review of Latin American empirical research between the years 2014 to 2019. The research is chosen to delimit the search at the Latin American level by making a selection of ten countries, which were: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru and the Dominican Republic, in the process documents were identified according to the inclusion criteria. Subsequently, the description of the emotional and behavioral problems is carried out, with their respective interpretation. The research methodology has a qualitative, descriptive approach, since it allows the collection of information found in databases of both journals and repositories at the Latin American level; As an instrument, a digital record card was used, where all the data were addressed for the documentary review. In conclusion the information search process, it can be affirmed that the categories of analysis such as emotional and behavioral problems are highly related because they provided the opportunity to know and understand associated factors that affect emotional development and manifestation of positive behaviors.
