Abstract
This research shows the results obtained from the work carried out on the socio-environmental transformation generated by the Doña Juana sanitary landfill in the Mochuelo Alto district of town 19 of Ciudad Bolívar. The methods used were documentary analysis techniques and field work, the operation of the landfill was analyzed, taking into account the data related to the final disposal of waste and compliance with the most important sheets of the Environmental Management Plan provided by Resolution 2211 of 2008 in order to demonstrate compliance of the actions by the landfill operator at the Doña Juana-CGR Waste Management Center during the last decade, in addition to that, there was an approach with the inhabitants of the sidewalk in order to To know the impact generated by having the landfill so close through surveys and interviews, as a result of this research, improvement processes for the disposal and treatment of solid waste will be identified, taking into account the techniques used in other countries and thus providing alternatives for decrease direct and indirect effects on natural resources and the surrounding community.
