Abstract
Introduction: The community mothers are exposed in their work activities to risk factors such as excessive physical effort, handling of heavy loads, inappropriate postures, repeated manipulation of objects, static muscular effort and physical inactivity, which makes them vulnerable to suffer from many musculoskeletal
diseases. Objective: To design and validate a book on the prevention of musculoskeletal diseases aimed at community mothers. Methodology: The Logical Framework Methodology was used for the elaboration of the applied project; For the preparation of the booklet, sources of information on postural hygiene, proper load management, occupational musculoskeletal diseases and their risk factors were reviewed. The information included in the book was adapted to the characteristics of the target population, the book was subjected to facial validation by expert physiotherapists obtaining levels of agreement in its evaluation from good to very
good, finally the book was socialized to community mothers through a virtual meeting. Results: an evaluative test was carried out before and after the booklet was socialized, showing that there was an improvement in the levels of knowledge on the topics included in the booklet. Conclusion: There is information on the prevention
of musculoskeletal diseases aimed at workers in general, but it is not specifically aimed at community mothers; For this reason, it is important to generate material that allows raising awareness about the risk factors ssociated with this population, in order to generate strategies and intervention measures focused on improving the health and work conditions of community mothers.
