Abstract
Santa Marta, a beautiful city on the Colombian coast surrounded by the Caribbean Sea,
with a tropical weather and historical trajectory in each place it has, whose main economic
activity is tourism and historical commerce due to the history that the city possesses, the
emblematic sites and being known as the second oldest city in Colombia. It gives us the
opportunity to receive national and foreign visitors who come to the city in search of spaces for
fun, relaxation and enjoyment with their own, it is to be known that in recent years Santa Marta
has enhanced its tourist attraction and more and more people are visiting it for holidays,
school/Job breaks or vacations.
Among many of the tourist attractions, of which we can highlight the Tayrona National
Natural Park, Ciudad Perdida, Rodadero, Taganga, Minca. They are one of the main destinations
that are attractive to the city and that show the diversity of beaches, landscapes, climates and
experiences that the city can offer. Like those mentioned above, there are tourist sites that are
heritage of the city for their history and meaning such as: La bahía, La Quinta de San Pedro
Alejandrino, El centro Histórico, Museo Del Oro Tayrona, among others.
At dusk and after the city gives us a beautiful sunset unique in the Colombian Caribbean,
the city illuminates the night and we give way to the nightlife, characterized from the wide
gastronomy of the restaurants to the tours in the well-known "Chivas" that offer the service of
touring the city accompanied by the best Caribbean music.
This is where we reach an important point for the development of this project; Santa
Marta has been characterized by its diversity of tourist options and it is for this reason that it is
attractive for those who visit us, but does the same happen with night places, more specifically
with clubs, bars and / or discos?
11
For the development of this project, this important point will be taken into account, from
which a great difference arises between what we consider a diversity of options to offer our
visitors and from which we have identified a great opportunity for the city to grow commercially
and touristically.
