Abstract
The following research project aimed to determine the processes of self-regulation of learning before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in adolescents who were studying remotely in 11th grade in 2020 in Colombia. The study was of qualitative methodology and hermeneutic phenomenological design; for the collection of information an unstructured interview was applied to 4 young people. In the findings, it was found how the 3 phases of self-regulation (planning, execution and self-reflection) apply in face-to-face and remote education, in addition to the difficulty in adapting to the health emergency situation. The present research was based on Zimmerman's cyclical model, established laws and norms that affect the educational context as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, and research related to remote education.
