Abstract
Introduction: in Colombian, during the year 2000 in order to facilitate the relationship between providers and those in charge of paying the services provide, the individual registries of provision of health services, RIPS, were created, in charge of providing the minimum and basic data of the patient attending the consultation, regardless of the health regime to which the user is affiliated. objective: The objective of this research was to identify the morbidity in oral health of people who attended care centers in Health Service Providers, IPS, public and private institutions in the city of Armenia, generated during the period 2015 – 2017. Methodology: A quantitative, observational, descriptive, retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted. In its entirety 417,512 data provided by the Armenian municipal mayor, variables such as: age groups, sex, zone, main diagnosis, diagnosis I, diagnosis II, diagnosis III, purpose, external cause, type were taken into account consultation department, department of provenance. Results: In 2017, the sex most often was that of women in 53.3%, compared to the most frequent age group for the three years was between 27 and 59 years. The EPS with the highest affiliation for 2015 was Cafesalud E.P.S., at 24.8%, the department or region of highest consultation was Quindío, occupying 96.9% in 2015. The urban area was the one that dominated in the years 2015, 2016 and 2017; the purpose of the consultation with the option did not apply for the year 2016 with 92.6%. The external cause of general illness was the most common in the three years. Conclusions: Viral warts rank third and fifth in the most frequent diagnoses in the city during the periods studied, the dental examination emerges as another of the most frequent diagnoses, evidence of errors in the registry because it does not correspond to a diagnosis.
