Abstract
This document sets out the development of a project focused on the implementation of spray systems in industrial processes, which consists in the design, construction and implementation of a semi-automated industrial system for the reduction of inoculated rice particles, which allows the obtaining of a final product capable of complying with the granulometry required by colombian company INVESA, a company that manufactures and markets products for the agricultural, industrial and construction sectors. The rice particle must reach a specific final size to be soluble and applicable within the agricultural sector, in conjunction with other components and additives, such as fertilizer and pesticide.
The machine built consists mainly of a feed hopper with its helical screw dosing system, a spray unit and a sorting unit that connects to a filter unit. In addition, the system is controlled from a single controller, called an electrical control board.
The system, in accordance with the process of characterization of the problem to which solution was made, fully complies with the requirements demanded by the direct user, which are mainly based on: obtaining an artifact that meets hygiene standards, that offers ease of maintenance, and that also allows to achieve a production of 40 kg/h of inoculated rice flour, where the particles are 90 microns in size.
